Have a look at chip torque if your thinking of chips they do different chip stages.. the original (stage1) unichip is about $600 (I think off memory ) and each chip upgrade costs $95 not too bad of an option since a good aftermarket computer may cost from $1000 upwards.. also saves alot of time messing around ... just a thought.
