Just wondering what is the going price for a EA in the Brisbane area and are they easy to get hold of ? Is it better to buy from a car yard of private ? you veiws would be appreciated , Thanks.

I got a 30th Anniversary EA (4sp auto, aircon, central locking with 166,000 on the clock), 10 stack Sony CD player in perfect condition for $3300 last August and it has given me no problems at all. Smooth ride, reliable, good sound!

Yeh most dealers I've been too just looken at EA's are usually fairly pricey up here, cheapest one i've found at a dealer was $4500, but it was pretty much immaculate. The trading post is your best bet for a cheap one

Just before I got this one, I went to the 'Magic Mile' at Marooka and they tried to sell me (at a dealer)an ex taxi with 270,000 on the clock in not exactly superb condition for $4500! And they wouldn't even let me get an RACQ check!

I got mine from a Ford dealer, it was just as traded. you will find that they wont put EA's in thier second hand yard anymore because they are too old. have a look over the back fench and you should see whats just been traded on a new falcon,

i paid $2900 for my series 2 GL 18 mths ago at a car yard at Moorooka... just under 200 000 on the clock, 6mths rego, in fairly good condition...

if i'd known back then what i know now, i'd go for a private sale - seems you can pick them up for the $2500 mark in the Motoring section of the Courier Mail...
