Re: What is a fare price for a EA in Brisbane ?

I picked mine up ('89 CPI 4spd auto GL) privately for $1750 which I thought was expensive, since I've spent maybe another $2200 in 2 years to keep it roadworthy and air conditioned. It alsoi happened to have had a dodgy roadworthy when I bought it and my registration got cancelled and no one was accountable for it (not happy). If I didn't have such expensive mechanics it would only be $1000 worth of parts, but I've only started doing my own work since I got annoyed at the slack mechanics.

You can pick up a "roadworthy" EA in QLD for $1000 but like I said, prepare to put your back into fixing it up. I'm always wary of spending top dollar for a supposedly "mint" specimen, so I usually buy an old cheap one that at least has a good body and go from there.
