Re: Whats The next mod u r planing for yr E-Series?

map and air charge sensor in the same place? my map sensor tube is stuck into the intake manifold between 3 and 4 cylinders from memory...and it dont matter anyhow because you dont need a sh!tty MAP snesor when running a MAF setup :D same for air charge sensor.

god i hope it goes half as well as i want it to.

Re: Whats The next mod u r planing for yr E-Series?

yeah but in the AU manifold there is no tube.
The sensor is integral to the manifold. I was thinking mainly of the plugs being totally different, but of course you don't need the things anyway do you I think I'll shut up about that now.....

Hehe if you're anything like me when contemplating a mod, half as well as you want it to would break a few land speed records :)

lol yeah- originally i wanted a cam to make most use of the 5500rpm redline/head flow caractaristics, and would have been happy with 150rwkw.

cutting a very long story short, with the cam specs i have and the computer im getting, 160 looks very achievable, maybe even over that with the BBM.

you think i can find a tutorial anywhere to tell me what i need to fit a AU bottom and and BBM to a EB XR6 head, as well as wiring up a V8 computer with MAF sensor?

i think i might need to take a week off work to knock it over...im predicting a *few* teething problems...

fingers are crossed.

anyone want to buy a complete EB XR6 engine with a AU head?

Re: Whats The next mod u r planing for yr E-Series?

I *think* the EB head ought to bolt onto the AU block, if so that's a good upgrade option for EA/EB owners and would probably be about the same/slightly less cost than porting out their old head
But I'm sure I heard somebody say they used only AU h/gs on their EA because otherwise it kept blowing them...

Re: Whats The next mod u r planing for yr E-Series?

I'm now hunting around for new shocks and some lowered springs to fix my suspension probs.. and a reconditioned steering rack to fix the loose steering.

What shock/spring setups do you guys have? I'll probably go super-lows in preparation for the bigger rims i'm getting.. but what shocks are good but not too expensive? What costs am I looking at for 4 super-low springs and appropriate shocks?

Re: Whats The next mod u r planing for yr E-Series?

Is that the thing that looks like a heap of snails on the passanger side of the engine?
And does it flow better than pre ef ones or something?
Will have a look at my car later :)

Re: Whats The next mod u r planing for yr E-Series?

No the EF onwards manifolds don't flow as well as EB2/ED manifolds did. However they are better for fuel economy and revability as the runner length can change to suit the rpm.
