Hey guys. Does anyone know of where to get a leather shifter for an EL auto. I rang ford, i was quoted for the EL Ghia leather one $450. Surely its possible to get one cheaper than that.

Good luck i wanted to get a new one for my Ghia apparentely there very hard to come by at the wreckers, but that would be your best bet to get one cheap.

Why not get the original shifter re-done in leather? It'll cost at most $200.

I just got an original one, brand new in cappa leather with chrome button for 310 from fertree gully auto salvage, speak to darren..
He is a sponsor of fordmods, just say your a member there n after one.
Cheapest i could fine new by far!
Other than that he does platic ones with chrome button for like 125 i think it was..

He also puts a lot of cappa (I can't spell it either) leather wheels and shift knobs on E Bay.

Yeah they do sell them... at a premium as you'd expect. I got quoted $700 for the surround, mesh and Ford badge. Then i broke out into a fit of laughter and told them where to stick it!

Believe it or not, thats actually a good bloody price!
Considering there is none left due to limited production and the fact of the mesh being like 650, surround like 350+ PLUS painting - no way id pay the price for a little grille..
I guess thats why they are expensive, to ensure that not every man and his ef/el have one. OH and of course to MAKE MONEY lol!
