My EA needs to be drip fed as well.
If I just go nuts, the pump will cut out, and the tank spits the fuel out onto my bar.. not good.
Lucky I have LPG or else it would really annoy the crap outa me.
I think mine has something to do with my LPG lines/filler which run to the same filler point, its a little on the cramped side.

My EA gives me the shits trying to fill it with fuel. Thank god its on gas.
When putting the petty in, it will click off atleast a couple of times every litre, if you are unlucky it will squirt fuel all over you as well.
It's fine on my NA Fairlane but my roommate's Celica does that.

Ok, I don't own an E-series, but LuvinmyEB does, and at the moment I drive that most days, so I hope that qualifies me to add my 5c worth...
Filling the EB is no problem for us, works exactly as expected.

As an ex-shell (now 'Coles Express' here in Victoria, how FUBAR!) employee, I have to agree with you, Shell pumps ARE shit house! Most people wouldn't believe how many problems they have with them (cutting out straight away, not cutting out at all, filling really REALLY slowly, the pump display going blank but the pump continuing to dispense fuel, pumps not working once the temp goes over 25 degrees (c) and so on), and what makes it worse is the number of people who work there who don't give a rats backside - they might get 50 customers telling them there's a problem with pump #5, but they won't do anything about it... After all, once their shift is finished, it's somebody elses problem, as far as they're concerned...
And even if a problem is reported, it doesn't mean it's going to be fixed...

Just switch to other decent gas station. If they're not gonna fix the pump, I doubt if they will clean up their tanks periodically to ensure you guys have good quality petrol.

I now and then have this problem but tonight I started to fill up my EB S1 and it clicked straight away...so I twisted the handle towards the rear end and then it filled up fine :)
No problem with my EF karl.. I can go nuts from empty and it will only click off when it's full. Lately, i've been waiting till it kicks off , when she's full, then filling it until i can see the petrol line through the openning.. That way i know i've got a full tank
