I think the thread is within forum guidelines and we are getting some interesting stories now that the negativity against the original post is dying down. However, I have already told antigravity that it will be closed upon his request - or, of course, if it goes downhill from here.

Re: Why are we driving EA's?!

Looks are in the eye of the beholder, simple as that. To me, nothin looks nicer than an immac EA ghia dumped on a set of 16's, but that's just me. Others may like the look of bigger rims, others may like a kit. I even prefer the rear end of an EA ghia compared to an EB-ED.

As for reliability, yes it may be true that the EA had some teething probs, but hey, look at it this way, if none of us hear were fellow e-sereis owners, someone else would be hear giving there point of view instead. If we didn't put up with ea's, who else would? Somebody has to....

Re: Why are we driving EA's?!

I`d have to say the ea - ed are a good looking car, sure by todays standards they may not drive the best and so on but really for there time they where top cars when I got my ev2 tickford fairmont ghia 3 years ago I spent $12k on it, that price I could have got some crappy jap car with no room, no where near the comfet factor I get from the fairmont, and I reckon it looks alot better than most jap cars of the same age I guess Im saying we drive them coz we like them, if not coz of the look coz of the feel, or coz it was the best buy at the time. I love my car and if you call them under powered I say you a fool since a car thats around 1500kg with v8 can keep up with a off its tit turbo 180sx weighing in at 1100kg I`d say thats pretty damn good
