My reason for getting the Fairlane:
1. Space - Big enough to carry stuff more than I needed
2. Comfy ride - Comforatble soft and smooth ride (thou some may think that's not a good point)
3. Price - Within my reach, at least
4. Sense of Safety - They're built TOUGH !!!!!
What's yours?

Re: Why you choose to get a E-Series Falcon/Fairlane?
EB2 falcon for me
wanted something RWD and powerful, and naturally needed to be a ford. That left me with two affordable options: done up escort or stock falcon. After test driving both and weighing it all up i chose the stock falcon....well it was stock when i bought it:s6:
Re: Why you choose to get a E-Series Falcon/Fairlane?
I needed something to get me through uni, so it had to be cheap but fairly modern. I wanted spaced and power as all young males do.
Consequently it needed some sreet cred, or the ability to hold its own in a duel.
So it was either XR6 or Fairmont of EB2-ED series.
Had a best mate who's dad was the financial controler of three Ford Dealers, so naturally I got handed what I wanted, cheap, low kms and with warrenty.
Unfortunately there were no XR6s around when I was purchasing, but since dumping in the 3.45... who needs one anyway? Plus I have elecy everything and police ignore me!
Re: Why you choose to get a E-Series Falcon/Fairlane?
Docomo - Juss like to extend the invite to come along to our next E-Series meet in Adelaide... It will be good to see a new member out there. Also, congrats on the purchase of the Fairlane, my previous car was an NA Fairlane, that I removed the old tired 3.9 and replaced it with a newer EBII 4.0..
Now, i got my EFII Fairmont Ghia because it mated the two things I wanted, all the luxuries you could get in SWB at the time, combined with the awesome performance package from an XR6.. cant go wrong there
Re: Why you choose to get a E-Series Falcon/Fairlane?
well i got mine cause it was cheap it was more powerful then most ford its age and its room capacity and even though im selling my spak wagon im buying another one (sedan)so i guess i like the overall look handling and power and cheap,so i wont complain..

Re: Why you choose to get a E-Series Falcon/Fairlane?
Ya, I'll come if I can, coz I'm gonna back to my home country for a few months later on this year and won't be back until Feb 04. So, really not sure if I can attend the next meeting or not, but I'll try to come.
BTW, my NA's engine seems to have done to 4.0 also, was mentioned on a receipt for engine rebuild, thou I'm not quite sure what exactly the pharse "do to 4.0 litre spec" means........
