X series rims

Hi There,

Info needed..!!

Do rims suited for X series falcons: XC, XD, XE, XF
fit E series: EA, EB, ED, EF, EL series falcons...???

Is the X series offset ok for E series...??

I read somewhere that rims from this X series period fit all falcons right up to AU - ie: Pre AU fittment

Thanks in advance

Re: X series rims

they should but be wary of some rim centres as all of the E series wheels do have a built in spacer to clear the disk brake a good place to check (on some wheels at least is Home of Canterbury Tyre & Mag Supamart P/L and follow the links for EA-EL and XA-XF
Also remember that the XF Faurmont Ghia and EA S Wheel are the same and of course there will be exceptions to evry rule

Re: X series rims

I've had XC GXL/XD Ghia wheels on my EB2 but could not use the front centre caps YUK! as the E series front hub pushes them off. Why? because I could not sell these wheels & they had new Bridgestone Eagers on them so I fitted them up & ran the tyres into the ground.

Before that I had XE S pack wheels on it. Later I had XE Fairmont Ghia snowflakes & their centre caps were just clinging on to the front wheels ( a little grinding on the back of the caps would have fixed this). Why because they were 15" & the right price.

So speaking from experience yes they will fit fine.

I now have polished up Turbo blades on it & will probably stick with those.
