XF Heater Help

Hey guys,
got a weird thing goin on with my heater, ok, it always takes a little while for the air to get hot, but the thing is now the air will only be hot through the vents at my feet. if i switch it to just the upper vents, or even both, the top vents will blow cold/mildly warm air and never get hot no matter how long i drive around for. anyone have an idea why? thanks

Re: XF Heater Help

Thats the problem with Vacuum powered vents, you have to check and see if the line is blocked or crimped anywhere.

Could be rust dropping in to the vents somewere, always a problem of the XF cars.

What sort of XF is it??

Re: XF Heater Help

I'd say your heater core is partially blocked. Heaters are not exactly very good on these cars. Good luck replacing one as the dash has to come out. My wifes old XF blows midly warm air through the vents. The warmest air comes at the feet. Probably because the heater core is closer to the floor outlets and has less time to cool.
