xh 6cyl ute

have a 96 xh 6cyl ute that has lot coolant from the overflow bottle
replaced all cooling components about six months ago and ute has been fine until lent to mate and the only thing he did different was use the air con.
also have a mate with an au ute that has done the same thing
only seems to do it when air con is used on a hot day

Re: xh 6cyl ute

If it is only doing it on occasion then there must be enough heat and expansion to max out the overflow bottle.

Is the bottle only being filled to the correct level when cold.

There should be a cold fill line which will not be to the top of the bottle. This allows for some expansion before the bottle is maxxed out.
