XH snorkle for ED - Ford Forums

i am going to fit an XH snorkle to my ED xr6 tmorro, a good idea? i was looking at buying it from ford aqnd adding a K &N airfilter to slot into my normal airbox. With the XH snorkle, will it just attach to the airbox as per the normal one, although needing 2 new screw holes to fit onto the actual car? i was thinkin of just drilling the same size hole as the normal, which enables me to use the nomal bolts to hold it in. am i on the right track? cheers

XH snorkel should fit wiht a minimum of fuss. If the bonnet does not shut properly, simply trim the top off the snorkel down bit by bit until it does fit. This won't impact on the effectiveness of the snorkel.

If you stuff it up, it's just a piece of plastic and you can always replace with the std snorkel again

Yeah just drill holes in it. I did that with my EL snorkel (for V8).

sweet, yehi can always put the normal one back on, il just line the holes up with the original holes and drill through the XH one, cheers

I wouldnt bother with an xh snorkel dude...id make summin meself...along the whole line of the inside bonnet....mould the thing...or do summin twin from the wheels....

twin? the intake is on the passenger side. why have two?

Andrich if it's basically a stock XR6, all you need is a good panel filter and an XH snorkel. Anything else is overkill, and potentially defectable

yeh i knew that it was on the passenger side but tommo74 was talking about sumthing else, i'm with you in thinking just a panel filter and XH snorkel, cauz it is basicalli a stock xr6, thanks Ghia5L

no probs. I think I had the detail wrong with what needs trimming back too, I believe it's the rad support cover (it's only plastic).
