2.25 dual exhaust 4 EB

All the exhaust places Ive been too are telling me that a 2.25 twin exhaust setup on my 5.0 EB cant be done due to little space available above the diff. I know ive seen photos of ED XR8's with this setup and was wondering if any one else had this exhaust setup on their falc. and wat was the price. Cheers

It definitely can be done. I was quoted $1100, mild steel, 2.25" twin from cats back over the diff and out the same outlet in the bumper.

These exhaust places saying you cant get it done are just lazy, or dont want your business. Theres no such thing as impossible when it comes to cars.

Re: 2.25 dual exhaust 4 EB

went to a place today and the guy rekons it can be done, but says coz the engine doesnt output 400+hp the car would run really flat and end up damaging the valves, he recommends joining 2x 2.5's to a 3inch then muffler blah blah....
can anyone enlighten me on this?

Re: 2.25 dual exhaust 4 EB

He is full of crap. With that advise, I would recommend trying another exhaust shop because he clearly doesn't know very much. Engines do need a some back pressure otherwise they can burn exhaust valves, but most of that back pressure comes from the headers anyway. Plenty of people run twin 2 1/4" systems and they provide good power increases.

I agree with EDXR8, you wont be sorry with a twin 2.25" system. Ask SikEDXR8 as he has done it on his car. It sounds absolutely killer! If my circumstances were different I would have gone that way thats for sure.

Can be done quite easily. Here's a link with pic's for the D&T system for EB-EL V8.
