3" Exhaust on AU XR8

Got home today to find a fair chunk of Lukey Sports exhaust on the front door step, 3" looks pretty big in real life. Taking the beast down for a "before" dyno run today, fitting tomorrow and doing an "after" dyno run early next week. I'm hoping for about 5% increase but more importantly a much better note. For under $300 I dont think I can go wrong. Will post some piccies of me under the hoist tomorrow after fitting.

Did the "before" dyno yesterday, stock AU XR8 auto, 130kw, exactly what I expected and what the same model has achieved at NSW TOC dyno days, will post graphs next week. Gotta go and fit the new exhaust.

Hey Sam,

Let me know how it sounds as i've just booked my AUII XR8 220 in to replace the stock system with a 3" pipe and sports mufflers.

They reckon i should get an extra 5% too but i haven't bothered putting it on on the dyno yet.

I also want to know if it's going to make it sound too throatie and sound like a wanker!!

Cheers,
Chris

Make sure you keep an eye on your torque curve especially below 3000rpm....

OK it's on, sounds pretty damn good, no drone, and a little burble when off throttle, could'nt be happier, back on the dyno next week.
