Question 4banger Mustang Exhaust

What are some companies that make an exhaust system for the 2.3L LX?

What options do I have? mufflers? cat-back? header?

I realize it would depend on how much $$ to spend, but I have not had much luck locating a company, most have all 5.0 equip.

I am looking for good performance, a solid powerful tone, but nothing saying taht I am trying to imitate a 5.0L or bigger.

Re: 4banger Mustang Exhaust

hedman makes a header for the 2.3L pinto that should be able to fit on the mustang with a little modification.

A good muffler shop should be able to build any exhaust you want to your specifications for a few hundred dollars.

Re: 4banger Mustang Exhaust

Would that include the muffler or would I still need to either pick one of theres or bring my own?

would the exhuast system they build include modifying the header?

Re: 4banger Mustang Exhaust

you can pick up good mufflers from summit and jegs for $50, it's best to bring your own.

any possible header modification would have to either be done by yourself or a performance shop, most exhaust shops don't like to muck with that sort of stuff.
