Anyone have flowmaster system on a 1997 Cobra or similar with no other major mods??

If so, which kit/muffler series and do you like it???

I'm trying to decide between the American Thunder (40 series) and the Force II (50 series). The caveat here is that I want to get enough rumble that I notice a difference over stock, but I don't want to wake my kid up every day when I leave for work at 5:30 am.

I'm having doubts that the 50 series will be a big enough difference over stock, but I'm scared that the 40 series will be too loud. Also, if I try the 40 series and it is too loud, does anyone know how easy it would be to re-sell???

PLEASE ADVISE AND SOON. I AM ITCHING TO GET SOMETHING PUT ON AND GET ON THE ROAD...

Re: Anyone have flowmaster system on a 1997 Cobra or similar with no other major mods??

The last set of mufflers I bought were from Dyno max. Had a real nice tone and would get pretty loud if you got after it. Not bad just cruising around. 3" in and out all the way from the headers too. I would guess the pipes acted like an echo chamber so that added some I'm sure. I would go with the 50's. Its going to sound better over stock and even if its not as loud as you might want, its better than to loud. The kid needs the sleep lol. As far as selling them once they have been installed...figure half what you paid for them at best.
