Just bought a Au series 2 xr8 ute a couple of weeks ago.
Am looking for a nice Exhaust and extractors to put on it now. What can those of you with this model xr8 ute recommend? Preferably a system that is legal as well.(db levels)
I have pretty much settled on the Pacemaker Extractors (any comments)
And he guy at my local muffler shop seemed to think for power that running 3" from the cats back would be best.

i have a difilippo zorst system,4 into 1 extractors (ss)
hi flow cats,2 2.5 pipes into a 3 inch straight thru muffler,then 3 inch all the way out with a hotdog...
picked up 20 rwhp, and didnt lose no torque...its a bit loud tho,he offers this system with a resonator to make it a bit more quiet(i didnt want it...lol) and he also advises autos to use the resonators cause of drone....
It has a mean idle,and is quite loud at idle,but being a manual its not too bad..

Yeah I had a look into that exhaust. But he said to me that the db levels it made weren't street legal.($2100later)
So needless to say i am still looking.
By the way my XR8 is a auto

Apparently the cost vs gain of your garden variety extractors make them not worth it. A better gain is modifying the pipes before and after the cats.

I would go a Single 3" with a Hooker Aero Chamber and a resonator on the back if it was still too loud.
