BA xr6 exhaust

gday all, just wondering if anyone had seen or more likely heard any ba xr6 with an aftermarket exhaust system on. I've had three I6's and they've all had variations in sound once I put an exhaust on. What do people think is the best sounding exhaust system for a xr6???

cheers

P.s The safety cars last year for the v8supercars had weird arse mufflers that sounded absolutley amazing.. are these things legal and what they hell are they?

Re: BA xr6 exhaust

IMO - No exhaust will ever sound exactly the same as another...too many variables such as pipe length, bends, etc. You can come close, but it's really hard to listen to an exhaust then duplicate it and get better than an approximation.
Your best bet is to customise it until you like it, based on a setup you like the sound of. Moving the muffler along the pipe will produce gradually varying tones.
So I'm not going to tell you what's the best system - that varies with personal opinion anyway
Just find one you like and then chase down the owner or crawl under the car
Then copy it and play with it.
