BA XR8 Dyno + Dual Exhaust

G'day,

Got my BA XR8 Dynoed the other day at the local dyno shop & she put out 185kw at the wheels. Which i guess isnt to bad at all. She was also under 1500km So i guess there is a bit more potential there.

Also i got the new Dual Exhuast 2.5inch from the cats back fitted. Well actual i think it is from where the balance pipe is back. I got told to leave the balance pipe in. Does anyone have any ideas on this. The lad at the dyno shop, said make sure the exhaust has a balance pipe.

Anyway, i love it! She bloody sounds like a real V8! But suprisingly it isnt to loud at all & even on 110km there is a not bit of drone! just the exhuast idleing away! I must say, for $300 i couldnt ask for anything better! 10/10! If anything i could go louder!

I get it dynoed again on Friday to see if there was a power gain or loss

Ill scan both dynoes & put them on the website!

Let me know how you go.
I had my xr 8 ute put on the dyno about a month ago, 196kw at the wheels.
I run it twice just to make sure. Do you drive your car hard? I had 4k on the clock when I did this, so I'm guessing yours will get better. If your running twin exhaust, yes, you leave the balance pipe in. It does what it says... balances the exhaust waves between the two engine banks... which makes them equal. I read a good X-over is supposed to be about 10 inches long. The standard ba xr8 is only about 10cm long! It must work though... or improve on the power!
Any other thoughts???????

Agreed, leave the balance pipe, it does help with the overall sound of the exhaust note.
