Not much to prowl on the forums of late.

Thought I would start discussion / argument on the top 5 sounding exhaust notes after hearing a warm BMW 850 on the weekend.

My top 5
1. Ferrari 355 / 360
2. Porsche 928
3. 220 kw XR8
4. Mercedes 500 SL (F1 pace car)
5. BMW 850

Yep, a Ferrari V8 or especially a V12 would have to be on top of the list. I'm sure there will be plenty of people who will disagree with me, but from the Ferraris i've heard in real life (a couple of 355's on the road and 1 silver/grey Maranello which was started in a hangar and revved pretty hard), as well as those I've got at home on video:a 1957 250 Testarossa and 1963 250GTO driven hard by John Surtees, nothing with numberplates even comes close.
