Just letting people know that they should be wary of changing the system on their GT's as a good friend of mine and i are trying to develop both our GT's in many different areas have found that it may reduce power. the system tried on his car very similar to the Herrod in design but NOT the same, duel system to the first resinator then a single 3" to the rear free flow muffler actually lost 14kw at the treads and 40nm torque due to the lack of back pressure.Next will be trying a standard muffler in the centre to give a little back pressure and see what happens on the dyno.

bummer, was there b4 and after dyno runs? ive seen herrods system in mags saying there's 20+ kw at the wheels more with extractors and exhaust.

I'd be extremely suprised if the GT didnt already come with extractors. I dare say even the XR8 would?

This exact problem has been spoken about in other threads Exhaust's, "Boss Engines", Who's tried What? and as XRFPV8 says, Herrods seem to be the only ones to get a exhaust to help gain more power and to sound better.
