Canon Exhausts on Falcon's

I'm shameless so feel free to abuse/make fun of me.

Anyways, is there any practical reasons why people don't put canon exhausts on Ford's/Holdens?

I need to get my cat back exhaust done (it's leaking :p) and I'm be shameless and admit I like rice and canons so I wouldn't mind one on my car.

It's gonna be 2.5" cat back mandrel bent, it's just whether the end is gonna be a canon or going through a resinator and dual 3" stainless steel tips.

I wanna go the canon just for something different. :)

So I suppose I'm asking, whats the difference between getting a canon and the normal exhaust? Is it the same?

Re: Canon Exhausts on Falcon's

personal opinion is to keep the exiting diameter the same as the rest of the xorst. im not a fan of falcon rice or milo tin tips so my thoughts may not count.

Re: Canon Exhausts on Falcon's

I'm not gonna get a milo tin, just I'd rather prefer a 4"/5" canon out the back than what everyone else which is dual 2.5" stainless steel tips.

all i can say is its your car and you have the right to do whatever you desire. if it was mine i wouldnt be attracting police attention to it though.

Re: Canon Exhausts on Falcon's

Based on the fart cannon noise of a 4 cyl, I'd bet a fart cannon on a Falcon would be WAY over the legal db limit. Police bait for sure.

Re: Canon Exhausts on Falcon's

i think you might have clearance issues fitting it neatly under the car, and the twin 3 inch tips will require some of the rear bar to be notched.. And aren't the milo cans incorporated into a resonator?

Re: Canon Exhausts on Falcon's

Thanks for the replies.

I dont have my heart set on a canon, just a mere curiousity thing. Twin 3" tips out the back fit perfectly (so im told) under the TS50 Kit rear bar.

I just want her to sound nice and deep and loud, but without drone when I'm on the highway. Can anyone give me any recommendations?

Re: Canon Exhausts on Falcon's

I also think there wouldn't be enough room to get a cannon in there. My opinion of cannons... hate 'em. The sound and look is aweful in my mind, but each to their own.

Re: Canon Exhausts on Falcon's

Clearance is deffinatley gonna be the problem but it can be done, I've seen a Fairmont NL in Perth with one it actually sounded pretty good but I expect his was running a resonator aswell to cut down drone.

If you got the money get a full 2.5inch s/s system that would sound wicked.
