Hey Everyone
just wanting all your opinions on weather a single 3" or twin 2.5" exhaust would be better for my eb xr8 at the moment she's stock as so any info on what would be better for perfomance etc would be great also would it be better getting the extractors done first, and what type would be best (in your opinion lol) as i said any info would be greatly apreciated ,

I liked the Lukey system on my old EB, it was a 3 inch. It had a great sound and went well, without costing too much. The 3 inch can drone a bit, so if you want to avoid that the twin 2.5 is a better option in my mind.

Twin 2 1/4 with interferance headers & high flow cats will do the best job. Single 3in will drone & will not work as well with the Tri Y headers..

Thanks for that guys once i get some more funds together il let you know whats happnin with the exhaust , also would it be worth getting extractors before i get an exhaust?

Yep, get the headers first. They will make the biggest difference, moreso than the exhaust. I prefer the tuned pipes over interference headers, but plenty of fellas will suggest the opposite.

For the best compromise go Pacemaker extractors (i think they only make one type for the eb), 2 1/4" primaries, standard cats modified to suit, into single 2 1/2" pipe and a 2 1/2" strait through muffler. Works well and doesnt drone nearly as much a 3" system, and you wont fit twin 2 1/2" over the diff and out the back.
The single 3" system sounds great but very drony at highway speed (drives you nuts after a while) and loses too much mid range torque for only a minor top end improvement which does not suit the windsor due to athsmatic head and inlet manifold that restrict top end performance anyway.
Twin 2 1/4" would be the best option for performance allthough im not sure how well you can fit the pipes over the diff and have nice smooth bends so as to not restrict exhauast flow. Talk to a few exhaust shops and you should get a good idea about about what they can do and more importantly how much they want to do it!
