i just bought an EF XR6 and i want a better sounding note. So far i have been told that a lukey straight through muffler with a hot dog would be the way to go,
Does this sound alrite? Any other suggestions? I just want a good sounding note.

From memory that's pretty much the system that 6pAc has. His hot dog is from my old midas system and is right at the back near the exhaust tip. He also has pacemakers and a dev5 and it is the B-E-S-T sounding 6 I've ever heard.

Go to the lukey site, they have a few sounds for different systems, some bit dodgy but. The EB one sounds good, the others well..

But there are different cobos than the listed ones

If you want a good sounding muffler that wont slow you down, dont buy a lukey. Craptastic!

I am running pacemaker extractors, 2.5inch stainless tubing and 1 walker muffler.

Sounds like a motor, not like a droning ricer.

Most Lukey's I've heard sound pretty good, I also had a Mercury on my AU - sounded great, but apparently the quality of the muffler isn't exactly tip top.

Look around. I had a Redback on the Ute, sounded great at idle and full throttle, but droned pretty badly when cruising.

The ED runs a cat-back system with a Red Back resonator back near the tip. It is the best sounding six here in Port Macquarie.

2 1/2" might have been too big for a mild 250 - not enough gas? Might've been better with a 2 1/4". Mine was fitted up to a set of Perry extractors and droned something chronic.

It should also be mentioned that the guy who did the exhaust was an absolute cowboy.

Hey, how come u went for stainless pipes? Or was it there when u got it?
