Exhaust

I'm sure that I read either in the forum or on the mail list that Tickford in Melbourne advised a member that the easiest improvement for flow and note on the EL2 XR8 was to remove the resonant boxes and install pipe to replace.
Does this ring a bell or sound correct?

Yeah, definitely the easiest way. Timbo has done this on his EF. I wouldn't expect much of a gain in herbs, if any, but the note would be improved. :) I don't think flow would be improved markedly, perhaps a little, but not enough to free up kW methinks. Second opinions? :)

Have to agree with Mike, should improve the note (or make one :-)). I have straight through mufflers after the cats and then just dual pipes through to the back on my AU XR8 and it sounds great. Have taken it to a couple of different zorst places and they all agree that it would be very hard to improve on flow from my current setup.
The car dosnt drone, but sounds great on full throttle.
Give it a try, only a cheap mod!!
