Smile Exhaust and chip

Hey pplz,
I got a Falcon EBII I6, wif a redback exhaust and cai......Ive been looking into exhaust headers and i found an intersting one on a american website its for the ford I6 but instead of going the "normal" 6-3-1 it goes 6-3-2....which gives u dual exhaust outlets.....I was having a think and i know most of u will disagree wif me but im going to do it anyway, is either get these extractors or get ones custom made like this (pacemaker hopefully), and get dual 2.5inch exhausts with 2 outlets on each side of the rear bumper, now you may think that this will be an overkill but you may be wrong for if you look at the "aftermarket" exhaust systems they all go OVER the diff.....causing THREE 90degree turns in the pipe which even if you aint a rocket scientist you'd know is an extremly bad thing for exhaust flow....anyways a question....i had a look at the chiptorque website and they offer the chip sent out for 595 for the eb, i was wondering why its so cheap, how i can put this in (hard and wat tools will i need) and what power gains could i expect with my set up........
thank you

Re: Exhaust and chip

you might find that the fuel tank will get in the way of having exhaust outlets on the passenger side of the car, also twin 2.5" is waaaaay to fuggen big for a 4 litre 6, maybe twin 2" or something would work, but you could still put 2.5" tips on the back so it would look ok.

Re: Exhaust and chip

atleast go 2.25" both sides, even that would loose you a lot of back pressure

as for duel exhaust... it's ganna coz a fair penny to get it down the left hand side of the car! Ask around, and if the exhaust shops have done it before, coz there is a lot of stuffing around.... you might wanna hold off those plans for chip before you get your exhaust maybe consider getting a cunky cam instead so it can provide more exhaust flow

Re: Exhaust and chip

My friend did the same on his Hemi 6 and it sounded like shit. The best description is 2 4 cyl ricers racing at once. Unless you need it its just a waste of money and the noise and volume will eventually shit you off. My friend did it because he was going to supercharge.

Also his exhaust went under the diff, very hard to do right.
