Go to any reputable exhaust center and have them fit a Genie extractor and 2inch S/S exhaust. The car will be remarkably different and have a note to it. I know, I have fitted one to mine. An extra 10kw rear wheel!!!

Exhaust

HI,

For your XR, and a proven exhaust system fit this set...

LUKEY extractors, using your cat, COS its the large one already....UNLIKE EA TO ED......

fit a 2.5 " exhaust of your choice, straight thru. a redback system, or stainless genie system is good.....

THE EXTRACTORS are the main thing, also fit a good KN air filter......in an xr....upto 135kw at the wheels with these mods......

it took us ages to figure it out.....

regards, brenden Mock

Does anyone know if pacemaker extractors are any good on EL XR6s (stock exhaust)? I have found a cheap set but want to spend my dosh wisely.

Any comments on extractors are appreciated.

Herrods have a range of systems to suit your car and budget. I just fitted their premium 2.5" system on my AUII XR6. Not only does it now have a nice deep throaty sound, it has increased power as well. The missus was telling me the other day how floored it next to the HSV club meeting and they all stopped to look.

These systems are designed for the car, not off the shelf like others.

Take a look at the mod page of my website below

I've fitted Hurricane (not mandrel bend) on my efxr6 with a 2 1/2 inch system, also moved cat back beside tranny and fitted k&n filter. Very throaty sound and plenty of power. Kids complain that it is toooo loud in the back...... Can't please everyone!!!!
This car had a Genie set on when I bought it and there was a very noticeable increase in noise and power when I changed extractors.

I have a EL Falcon with the Jim Mock Motorsport Extractors and 2 1/2" exhaust. On the dyno I got 129kw at the rear just with those 2 items.

Unfortunatel the Dyno Figures at JMM leave alot to be questioned, however, what type of note have you found and have you noticed a better response range?
