Exhaust System Suggestions on 3.9L XF Ute - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Hey guys,
can i have sum thoughts on an exhaust for my XF ute. Its got the 3.9L carby motor. I was thinking extractors, hi flow cat or cat off my zorst now
(hollow stock one) and the rest 2 1/2" straight through wif a nice chrome tip.
What u guys think??? Any suggestions or changes u think i should make??
Also, how would this exhaust or one u suggest sound??

Hey there
First of all, Carburettor versions of the XF only came out in 3.3l (200ci) and 4.1l (250ci). Assuming you have the 4.1l I would recommend to go a 2.25" Lukey exhaust, I've got one on my XF ute and it sounds fairly tough - also have genie extractors. If it's carburettor you mightn't have to worry about a cat, check your current set up, is there a cat there? If not, I wouldn't worry about it. Best bet is to talk to a Exhaust specialist and listen to what they recommend because they have most likely done it numerous times before. Post up some pics of your ute, good to see some more utes coming on the forums!
