Exhaust Wrap

Has anyone used the exhaust wrap to cut down on underhood temps?

I have a 2001 Taurus and the heat from the exhaust pipes is cooking my tranny fluid. It looks like a good idea, the wrap not the fluid cooking, but I am leary about the boastfull product benefits...

Any other ideas?

Gary

Exhaust wrap will lower the temperature around the header.

Do you have an exhaust leak onto the transmission?

If not, transmission fluid can cook because of failing components inside the transmission.
