i've been looking hard into getting a full JMM exhuast from jim mocks for my stock ed fairmont! i am wondering if anyone knows of a full system of near or equal quality producing a nice sound, power, and fuel Efficiency? and where could i get one if so?

Jim Mock just uses a Redback exhaust, Hi-flow cat and extractors which are roughly equivelent to Pacemaker Race series extractors... You could get the same system from Mr. Muffler if you want..

cool so you think jmm uses redback products ? i wonder if mr. muffler would be cheaper? would i still need to get it tuned on a dyno ? has anyone got prices lately ?

Jim Mock charges $980 for the base kit, which includes the extractors, exhaust and a couple of other little things, and installation and a dyno run..

Mr. Muffler said about $600 for some Pacemakers + 2.5" exhaust, when I went there a while ago, but that may have been plain pacemakers and an average 2.5" exhaust.. The dyno tune is only necessary to get the timing right and give you an idea of what rwkW you actually have.. (even though JMMs dyno seems a little.. generous

)

Umm, I got the Dev1 because I had some spare cash and didn't really know as much as I know now, but I think the DEV1 is reasonable value for money.. Sparkplugs, airfilter (I think?), Better induction snorkel, Extractors, Hi-flow cat and a good exhaust all installed + a dyno tune for $980 isn't too bad in my books.. others may dispute that... And, you're going to end up spending somewhere around that much to do most of the above mods anyway, because you're not going to have a bigger cam, race pistons and a ported head with the stock exhaust headers now, are you?

Shop around a bit, you may find that you can get it all done for a bit less than JMM, but to be honest, there is at least $650 worth of work there and probably more, so you'll be hard pressed to save much money, unless you go second hand..
