as the title says, which extractors are proving to be the best gain on the boss 290, I have seen pacemakers advertised for as little as $600 up to $1380 for the herrods.
Does herrods include the cats?
By the way, who makes herrods extractors (Di filoppo) ?

I have a D & T Performance Exhaust, twin system, stainless steel, high flow cats, origional 2.5" and using the stock x pipe, with Pacemakers kissing the motor. also resonators about 4 (2 on each side)
Our GT-P made 225rwkw in the morning before, and 259rwkw same day after exhaust!
No one's system has come close! well no one has said anything, but give em a call.
Here's an off the wall question for the forum. Do Genie make headers and/or exhausts for the BOSS 260/290 motors? Used Genie headers on all my previous fords and found them better than most others. Just curious as i'd like to fit a full Genie twin system to my new BA GT when it arrives.
Secondly, if Herrod are using other manufacturers headers, (as previously written) why is it necessary to remove the engine if others say they don't? i just don't get it!

Reason: need to add more
Genie do a bolt on yourself twin 2.5" cats back system in stainless steel. Heard one on an XR8 about 50kM after it was fitted. I thought it sounded a bit too quiet without much of a note. It may sound better after time and possibly a GT engine would give a meatier note. The systems are somewhere around the $1200 mark depending on where you buy it. I priced one at a discount muffler place in Adelaide, and it was $1250 with the Xpipe. I didn't ask whether or not that included GST.
I ended up buying the HPX(HM Headers) 2.25" system and fitted it last night. From the word go it sounds "better" than the Genie. It is definitely louder and deeper. I can only compare the note when revving the engine because the genie was on a customers car in a yard.
I drove mine to work this morning and its not too bad. It is reasonably deep on deceleration and I'm hoping the acceleration note thickens up a bit more with use, but it's still not bad. I can't wait to hop in it again. I might go for a lunchtime spin (with the window down of course).
Cruising along at 110kph I can just hear it in the cabin with the back seat down. At this stage I would say it will not be offensive on a long cruise.
Certainly no drop in power. HPX's big claim is best bottom end improvement compared to other systems.
