Let me introduce my self:
My message board name is ea_endo,
i own a 1989 ea spac. unfortunetly it has 314,015 km on it,
but it's in exellent condition for the k's its done and its age.


anyway, finally i'm outa debt and had enough money to get a sports exhaust.
so i ended up purchesing a:

2.5inch redback mendral bent exhaust which goes from the cat back.

i wouldn't mind getting extractors but i've been told that if i were to get headers the car would loose power if the engine is stock.

is this true?

That's not true at all. Infact to get the most out of the exhaust you NEED extractors.

Is it MPFI or CFI?

What you will probably find is that you do loose a bit of low down power with extractors, but make more power up high.

probably better to spend the same money on converting to MPFI than getting extractors....

then once that's done, get the extractors next :D

Go MPFI, hellavlot cheaper and you get about 20Kw outta the modd, best BFYB you can do to an EA. BTW, welcome to the forums and to E series.

Welcome mate! Definately do the mpfi conversion, it is the single best bang for buck mod you can do to your EA. Do a search on these forums and you will find HEAPS of information about how to do it, very easy to do aswell. As for the extractors, it's really something you need to do to get the most out of an aftermarket exhaust..
