Any comments on if it's worth replacing a standard BA XR8 exhaust with one from a GTP ?

The GTP piccy shows dual pipes between the 2 mufflers, I thought the XR8 had a single, but I'm 600ks away from my XR8 at the moment and couldn't double check...

Yes, they are the same Shanes..
An easy and cheap way to get more noise is to remove the rear muffler and have an exhaust place make a nice set of twin pipes out the back. No gain in performance, but it will give you more noise. Cost would be between $100 and $200.

Personally I would get a full or cats back system if funds permit. There are many threads on here about BA XR8/GT exhaust systems if you do a search.

l wouldn't just cut the rear muffler out and have straight pipes as you will lose performance as you will lose back pressure just get them to put a couple of resenators and this will give you a good note. l had this done before l got the quad pipes.

I will second the hot dogs in the rear, I did this after meeting Orsm in Albury, fixed the drone and power probs I had after removing the rear muffler.
