I want to get a stainless steel cats back exhaust system for my AU XR8, and I have narrowed my choices down to a Herrod dual 2.5 inch system with the X pipe (installed by Maughan Thiem Ford Adelaide) or the D&T Performance dual 2 1/4 inch system.
They both claim I will get ~10 rwkw from their systems and D&T Performance will dyno the car before and after. Both systems are similar in price, so thats not a factor.
I would like to know if anyone has any of these systems installed on their car, and what they think about the sound, performance and quality of the system.
This is the system Herrod designed for the T series, IMO I would go for the Herrod one,if it's S/S you are after than you will have no problem's or quality issue's and the sound is awsome.

I own an au2 xr8 ute, i bought a dual 2 1/4 inch system from d&t, they also told me i would gain around 10kw. I had my car dynoed before and after but i lost 6kw with d&t's system compared to the ford factory exhaust. I live in newcastle and if i was sure id get my money back i would post it back to them.

That's interesting, have you done any other mod's to your vehicle,if not maybe the exhaust is to big for the engine.

I definetely do not hink that the exhaust is too big for the engine.
2 1/4 should be perfect for a stock car.
If later mods are anticipated I suggest a 2 1/2.(must have X pipe)
I have a cat back dual 2 1/2 meeting at the diff into a single 3" in my 220kw TS50, the sound is very crisp, and no booming at all, I will never change it.

i agree, i have the same but also have the headers and cats the 2 1/2 meeting at the diff into a single 3 is becoming the most popular....
