Does the Herrods cat back exhaust actually connect to the flange behind the cats or does it connect to the back of the "Y" pipe flange?

Anyone got any pics?

It's just that I got qouted $750 for a Lukey duel 2.5" mandrell bent mild steel system installed, but from the rear "Y" pipe flange back. I had a look at my standard system and noticed that after the front "Y" pipe flange the pipes go down to 2.25". This means that if I got this system it would still have the smaller more restrictive sections still in there.

I just want to know if it's worth going the the Herrods or not. I don't live within 1000k's of a Herrod dealer, so the cost of install is a bit higher to go that way.

Any info would be appreciated.

The cat back joins from the first flange after the cats. Its not directly behind the cats, its about 50cm further down. I had one on my XR8 and it was worth the money, its a quality product and sounds tough too.

dont know who makes the series 2 Herrod exhaust but the original herrod system was made by Darren Difilippo & it runs from the back of the original "Y" Piece
