Anyone here done the Herrods exhaust on a T3? What sort of cost and power/diveability did you get? Had the T3 for about 2 months now and you all now what happens........................

I had the complete Herrod's system fitted to my T3 TS50 (auto) a couple of months ago and I couldn't be happier with it. It cost about $3,000 all up. I was mainly looking for a deeper exhaust note and it certainly scores on that front (although I'd still like it a bit louder, but apparently it's as loud as legally possible). As for power/driveability, well I think Herrod's say there's an extra 30kw...which I don't doubt...but as I've never dyno'd the car I can't really comment. Also, my car had done less than 1,000km when the exhaust was fitted...so the engine is still loosening up and I rarely thrash it anyway...

In short, if you have the money, buy it. I certainly have no regrets.

Does it have any drone inside the car? Did they fit the original tips back on? I am also deciding on a herrods exhaust (cats back only) although I think it sounds great standard.

Got a Liverpool exhaust on my T3 custom interferance headers twin highflow cats twin 2-5" system into a single 3" at the rear Dynoed it before 206.4 after 222.6 and it kicks!! $2250 what a bargin! the guy at the dyno said the increse was as good as any exhaust he had seen,It was the best T SERIES at the NSW FPV club dyno day all the rest had Herrod exhaust on them, have a look on the NSW FPV club site all the results are there then make up your own mind there are some good exhaust guys out there so look around

I have been thinking about an exhaust change aswell, for the extra rwkw.
I have done 7700km and I can tell you that the sound and responsiveness of the car has changed a great deal from when it was new with hardly any kays on it and I love that sound of the factory system.
If someone has a T3 with the Herrod system on or any other systems that gives you good rwkw gains I would love to meet up and compare the sound, I don't want to change the exhaust and then find that it drones or that it doesn't bark or sound as crisp as the factory system.

Its a great system, specifically designed for the T3 in mind.

On my te I dropped the rear resinator and the note is awesome!

Is the 20 - 30 kw gain claimed by herrods flywheel or rear wheel kw's? I also love the sound of the factory system because it is quiet driving normal but growls like hell when you get up it! I am also curious about the original tips, I think these are the best factory exhaust tips I have ever seen hands down.
