ive got a hole (about 5 cent piece size) at the bottom of my extractors & also a smaller hole in the exhaust pipe.

does this do any thing to performance/fuel consumption etc.
is this easily fixable?
the cars is a 6cyl XE

I think it does affect performance, economy, etc.

The exhaust pipe should be easily repairable (depending on where hole is); the extractors may be a little harder.

Can it be welded?

it will need repairing and it will of course chew your fuel economy and performance..

and yes take it to a exhaust shop they are sure able to repair it..

It should'nt cost you too much to repair it. But Roy and Hoon are right, It will chew through the fuel and drain the power a little bit.

you lose a bit of power, i had a hole in my exhaust and insted of easily making 100km/hr up a certain hill i was strugling to make 80km/hr

yeah you can get a manifold compound glue type stuff that works alright

i got a question though, what would happen if you were to shortern the exshaust and put it out the side? would that make it go harder?

It does, but it can be illegal too. My bro has done it on his XG ute and the cops said something about having to have the tip of the exhaust 18 inches behind the front door. Other wise it's illegal. I don't think your allowed to do it on a Sedan though????
