Question I know its not a ford...

Hey guys n gals...just after your oppinion on whether a VN 6cyl deserves (needs...) a 2.5 in exhaust, or whether 2.25 would do. Mate wants 2.5, but i rekon 2.25 would be fine bcoz they're not making that much power n i've seen people with worked Xflows who say only need 2.25in. What you rekon? (also keep in mind i don't wanna lose to him by much more than i already do...)

2.5" would definitly be the better size for them, they are still a largeish motor and can rev higher compared to the 4L fords

make sure he gets a resonator as they can be really bad for droning

i had a 202 kinswood, 2.5 woulda been way too big for that so i settled on a 2 1/4 which was a good size, keeping in mind 3.3L and only revved to about 4000 at the max....

the VN tops out well before the EF -> falcons and about the same as the EA-ED's. They only make about 130 Kw too. I'm tempted to tell him 2.25 bcoz i don't want him to be even faster again....
