I6 exhaust

hey everyone. ive been reading all these threads about quad pipes on XR8's and they look awesome i was wondering if this can be done on an XR6! Will it change the exhaust note much from a full ss exhaust just with the twin tips? I think they just look shit hot thats all!

Re: I6 exhaust

I'm sure it can be done but I doubt it would be of any advantage. Personally, I dont think it would suit an XR6.

Re: I6 exhaust

Well, you could do it, the M3 runs quad pipes after all. But I don't know if you'd get any decent gains from the motor.

Re: I6 exhaust

I'd do it in a second. Probably wont be of any benefit or make much of a difference in sound, but i agree - it looks damn good.

Re: I6 exhaust

Yes it can be done, my dealer (Maughn Thiem) in Adelaide offered me the quad pipe treatment for my XR6T when I asked for a Herrod exhaust quote. In fact he showed me an XR6 with the quad pipes just fitted and it looked ok.
