With my tax money im going to get a set of pacemaker headers and 2.5'' redback sports exhaust.
i am also considering a high flow cat ($200 extra) because i see the existing one a big restriction not only because its not high flow but because the input and output diameters are alot smaller than 2.5'' therefore creating a restriction.
do you think it is worth the extra money for a high flow cat?

I really dont think its worth the extra money on top for a high flo cat... just get a standard 2.5" one... even without a cat there is no difference (Ive been told 1rwkw) so new ones dont really restrict anything... its only when they get old and worn out, but if u were going big power i would reccomend one, in this case not worth the extra cabbage.

You don't need a high flow cat.
When you have your exhaust system fitted, ask the installer to cut the ends off your cat, and open it up to match the 2.5" system.
Rick.

What's that?..... Did I hear you say TQE power?
Would that be considered tampering with the cat, Soxx? I'm sure the EPA will go for any chance to slap you with that $20,000 fine..
No, as if the EPA used a 'sniffer' to check emissions, it will still be fine, because the insides are untouched.
I should make this very clear, that the cat still works as intended, all you are doing is increasing it's flow capacity by opening up the ends.
Rick.

For the sake of the environment and the next generation ffs dont remove or hollow the cat please
I agree... i was offered not to have a cat put in my new exhaust but i opted to pay more for a new cat... its just not worth it, and besides some of the deadly shit that comes out the exhaust... its a problem and weve all got to do our bit.
