Hi, i have a '97 escort that i have just fitted a K&N 57i induction kit to. this has made a big difference and now i want to install a new exhaust. the only problem i have with doing this is noise.

Is there a way of fitting a totaly new exhaust system that wont turn my car into a roaring beast without losing any performance increase?

Or should i just screw it and revel in the noise?

Noisy exhausts can be a real pain on the motorway due to the boom they generate. There's plenty of performance 'quiet' systems out there (you don't say what country you are in) Jetex being one.
