Just got fitted this afternoon a bolt on, cat-back lukey super system. Single Ultra Flo muffler, all mandrel bent 2.5" pipe, and man does it sound awesome. When you're just idleing, it's almost stock, but just nudge the throttle and its got a spine tingling burble at low revs (<2500) then starts growling over 3500, just barely legal volume. Cost me $260 fitted at Aussie Exhausts (excellent service BTW) in Albion brissie.
Have to admit before i got it fitted I was a bit worried as a guy I know with a VY S ute gor a super system but sounds absolutely sh*t and gassy, and sounds like a clapped out lancer, but mine has a very meaty note, and should get even deeper once it breaks in, even 8ish. Sorry for the rant, I had to brag to some sympathetic ears, all my mates here are commowhore owners.

Russel at Aussie does some good work,, he is always on the cheaper side reguardless.. Shame he wont buy a mandrel bender but rumor has it the business will be up for sale soon
$260 is a good price.
Did it much difference power wise?

Big nada compared to my old 2.5", which was mandrel bent, 24" hotdog, single straight through muffer (no idea on brand, cam with it), rear resonator. Really need extractors and HF cat to notice anything.

i got my lukey 2 1/2 inch cat back system with no resanator a month ago and it sounds bloody lovely,i was worried about a drone but its almost silent at 100 off the throttle but open it up and its all noise,i also find it gets a sweet note at about 2500 rpm,i got mates sayin it sounds eightish.it cost me 250 but 20 extra for the tip.

Does the note change much once it has bed in? If so how long did it take?

sorry that its a bit off the topic but if i got a complete flow through exhaust (including extractors (probably pacemaker) and 2.5' luckey) would there be any droning? or would it be better if i have a resonator or muffler because i do quite a bit of highway driving, and the droning would become quite annoying after a while...
