New Exhaust.

Hi guys, just after some assistance.

I want to get a dual exhaust for the wagon but was told it was impossible due to there being room for only 1 muffler.... something about the fuel tank being in the way. Is this correct?.. Has anyone done it to their wagon?

Also i'm after a set of Pacemakers, how much should these cost... ballpark figure ? The only place ive called wanted $720.

I want the cats replaced... what is a good type/brand ?
The place i called wanted $200 each for hi-flow ones, and $200 each for standard ones. Is this a bit steep ?

Thanks in advance.

eb_5litre, why do you want dual exhausts ? Is it for the look, or do you think it will improve performance. For performance, I dont believe it would do much good, it will lower the back pressure too low to have a good system going. I think one 2.5'' exhaust is perfect, you will love it. 3.0'' is probably getting too big, and i think 2 exhausts could be worse.

Just my 5 cents

back pressure is bad. you dont want it.
generally speaking twin systems arre better for all out power whereas single systems are better for midrange. also some people find twin systems fix droning problems they have with single systems.

Cheap and good cats are available on the 220kW Tickford extractors. These are easy to source where people throw them when modifying. Cut the cats off and throw the rest away.
