Opinion on Headers (block huggers)

Anyone know much about these?

Thinking of getting a set of these but was wondering if they are better, same or worse in performance than the standard extractors.

Re: Opinion on Headers (block huggers)

Traditionally Block huggers Suck ass compared to longtubes or even try-y's (Why try's?)
The ultra short, non equal length primaries do nothing for you. however they are better than cast manifolds... just... You get all the heat of extractors, with a similar sound to cast manifolds, and slightly better performance.

They've traditionally been used by street rodders to fit motors into tight chassis/enginebays, they're more a convenience design than anything. And doing the turn from pointing sttraight down is gunna suck....

If you can fit longtubes I'd go with them... just don't expect anyone to be happy about fitting 4-1 longtubes (Pacemaker 4070/4075s) to a PS equipped Clevo powered XR-XY... the driver side install takes forever.... This I know.... Oh, and 4-1 longtubes *do* work at low revs...
