This is a very technical area you have ventured into. What has probably happened is, you lost your low end torque by removing the mufflers. I would assume that would mean it needs more gas than it would have before to get moving. The whole thing is based on volumes and pressures and things that make me dizzy to think about. You really probably should have some sort of mufflers, or smaller diameter pipes.
