confused twin exhaust confusion on an XE

I'm currently making a twin 2 1\2inch exhaust on my xe falcon. Its done up to the diff but how do I route the pipes to both corners of the bumper. its on straight gas, so theres no petrol tank and the wheel well can come out or be modified if it needs to.

Welcome to FF eatholden.

If your petrol tank has been removed you'll have heaps of room. You cant go down the left because the plastic tank is too close.

nice system, did you mount your fuel pump up front of the fuel cell. if so does it affect the delivery to it.pics.
is that a crossover or are the pipes just mounted together.
keep em out wide like pic

Thanks.

Up front the exhaust pipes come together using an x-pipe. This balances the 2 sides and is supposed to create a little more power.

I have an electric pump down the back (Mallory Comp140). The silver box you see on the outside is acutally a painted steel box welded to the boot floor. The aluminium fuel cell sits inside. The pump sits on the outside of the steel box.

Here's a few pics.

x-pipe.

Re: twin exhaust confusion on an XE

The pump is gravity fed from the tank and delivery is fine. The pump is force fed under acceleration due to the rear pickup. If I have 5 litres left and hit the brakes hard it cavitates a little.

Sorry for the semi thread hijack there

The big fat black one is the filler and the clear one is the filler vent. 2 aluminium lines, one is a tank vent and yep, the other is a return line from the return style regulator. Better setup for continual street use - eases load on pump and extends its life.
