How is the GT tip, different to any other tip?

At a guess I'm assuming that Mr mx6 is referring to the "rectangular" shaped tips as fitted to the GT's, the GT rear valance had rectangular cutout sections so the normal run o the mill round tips tend to look a little out of place.
As a bit of a rough guide repro tips similar to these are available if you know where to look (fitted for about $50 - perhaps cheaper depending upon who you know etc)
$30 for a new one is reasonable $$$$$$$
