So, it looks like a rebuild is in order very soon.

Any of you had this make/model tranny rebuilt before?

About how much money is this going to set me back?

More than the car would sell for if the trans was good... but then that's
part of overhead.

If there's a listing in your area for Independent Trans shops, call them
and ask...

So the Lucas stuff didnt help?

How many miles on cah-cah? What kind of use? Is it maybe
the LX V8? The std. V6??

Mine hasn't required it. But I nurse it like a baby.

I'm no expert, but it -could- be ballpark $2k if you
find a good shop that's not a Ford dealer.

But that's premature. Got to consider numerous
possibilities first. You could list symptoms above
and most any tranny shop will recommend rebuild.
May or may-not be needed.

Supply more details.
