We are trying to change the alternator on a 1996
Mercury sable and can't get it out. We have removed the wheel and can't
get past the crank shaft. any thoughts?

Go to www.autozone.com and look in the REPAIR GUIDES and find
your car. They usually have instructions how to replace
something this common and they are free.
