I'm going to assume (right or wrong this still goes out to you buddy)
this is in reference to my post: so to rebut each of your thoughts as I
see necessary...
"try to remember that the wealth created by those with personal
ambition
and drive is what creates the money the politicians steal from us in
taxes to drive the welfare state."
Actually I'll start with a nice quote:
"Behind every great fortune there is a crime."
-Honore de Balzac
Sorry, guy but in regards to "your" party (which I highly
doubt you're of even 1/64th the affluence required to matter to
anyone in office) MOST of these so called "ambitious" leaders you
braggartly boast for, have lied, STOLEN, heir'd and cheated their way
to the top for... Just WHO do you think owned ALL of the land they
(these unnamed few) got their claim from? HOW did they get the land?
For what price? - I'll tell you, their forefathers and their
forefathers etc. STOLE it from natives and then enslaved varying groups
to work the land and basically amass a FORTUNE upon which to fund other
business ventures to pass down to another generation of privileged
heirs and so on. Not to mention the monopolistic/cut-throat back room
deals done with corrupt politicians (see "lobbist/special interest"
group) to get legal/illegal (yet highly unethical by any stardard of
decency) grants, loans, monopolies (standard oil trust...etc)
governmental funding to proliferate and profit.
There you have a rough sketch of some old-money history... now in
regards to this new money "ambitious" business owner you tout and
seemingly claim allegiance with: just HOW did the majority of them get
their start? Mom & Pop shops? A simple invention? Doubtful... more heir
to the inheritance wealth dumping, and off to the IVY league schools
the kids go for more back room deals, shady job networking, et cetera.
This so called "hard work" that you tout is no harder working than
someone at a community college taking night classes to get a head - ah
yes, but that one little ROAD block called "the old boys"
club/network stops him/her in their tracks! Big business gets a down
wind whiff of competition and swallows them up whole. This fairy tale
of the hard working white-middle-class-businessman, now
multi-millionareCEO - happens about 1/100000th of the attempts at it.
You'd be best to start digging into the past business ventures and
expeditions of "your" beloved party leaders. You would be surprised
just how caked with drudge and ills their past and or CURRENT records
are. (I SEE you in them news headlines Mr. Trent Lott and Karl Rove!)
Yes there are some 1:1million true success stories for the big R's
and the lot, but touting this innocent-republican-businessman banter is
hogwash these days. Only the mindless voting zombies by into that cad
of line.
"It's funny how the Libs love to
complain about "big business" and the success of those with a better
idea, but they are always looking for more ways to steal from the
"wealthy" and distribute that wealth to buy votes from the poor."
---FYI I'm NOT a Dem, nor a Rep. Both of the majority party leaders
are corrupt. Simple as that... I'm not a tree hugger either. I have
my OWN mind and cognitive abilities to pick and choose the
representatives that are REALLY out for the country's best interest,
and with regard to the rest of the suffering nations.
Better idea eh? Like having near completely control of
congress, the senate, the governmentt as a whole AND the presidency -
and facing the HIGHEST running debt ever recorded? The MOST intrusive
type of governmental anti-privacy acts/secret programs EVER known to
the public? The MOST ideological/socieo-economic disparity in at least
a century? The MOST despotic, hegemonistic and flat out ill-respect
from the rest of the modern/2nd and 3rd world? Haha! Your party KICKS
ASS! Man I'm telling you Hover would be turning in his grave to get a
chance to get back into the FBI with all these newly enacted
"anti-terrorism" acts. Yep, you Rep, scratch that- (r)publican
sheep KNOW how to pick winners! Yeah, if you consider all of the above
and much more unstated, you're winning alright... the war on
self-disillusionment.
Ooooooh ooooh! I've got a GREAT excuse for you to use in
defence... THE WAR ON TERROR? Wait I thought the war was - about the
BIG bad Saddam and shit WMD's?
"America must not ignore the threat gathering against us. Facing
clear evidence of peril, we cannot wait for the final proof, the
smoking gun that could come in the form of a mushroom cloud.
-George W. Bush
You GO G.W! Only a skilled linguist such as yourself could con a whole
country into a falsified war b/c of WDM's, no wait, I meant War on
TERRORISM baddies, no I'm wrong again it was about spreading
Democracy to stop the WMD mushroom cloud attack!
"And the second way to defeat the terrorists is to spread freedom. You
see, the best way to defeat a society that is - doesn't have hope, a
society where people become so angry they're willing to become
suiciders, is to spread freedom, is to spread democracy." -George W.
Bush
Bow to the pwnage of "DEMOCRACY" -(Coming to a 3rd world country
near you.)
Come on guy, lets FESS UP and tell the king he's NAKED: You
sir, are NOT wealthy by any regard, "your" party doesn't give a
sh!t about you. And you don't have the MONEY, the influence, NOR the
power to make them even bat an eye at you. You're another
white-middle-class poser (r)epublican, with day dreams of REAL
affluence and acceptance into a world and class you'll NEVER be a
part of. Keep on dreaming guy, while the rest of the country sinks all
around you and your precious "party" members drift away on their
own island of dollar bills. ;-) Heh, if I'm wrong, I'll eat cake!
Worthless as you may deem my speech...the points are hard hitting and
REALITIES, I'm not making this up and you know this as well as I do. Of
course you know this isn't personal at all; for my fellow man, I don't
know "you" at all! But what I do know is that the way you make your
representatives sound Vs the lagging and often similar competition, is
deceiving or neglectful at best. Sure the Reps have some good party
leaders trying to do the "right thing" (Sen McCain) and the dems have a
few also... But my stance is about HUMANS/CITIZENS of the USA... Not a
partisan rant solely against the Big R's.
This Small business man parade for Big Reps in office is a FARCE.
You know it and so do the other ~95% of failed small start ups. (This
goes for BOTH parties) But more so for the Reps, b/c all the while I
keep hearing from people that either own small businesses or have past
failed ones, about how the Dems hurt business growth and the Reps
promote it: WHere are the facts to these assertions? I would LOVE to
see some unbiased research that shows that indeed the ELITE Reps in
office are much more contributive to small business as a whole than the
other party/ies. Big Reps care about BIG BUSINESS, that's about as
broad a stroke as I can put it. Dems do the same, but it's just not as
prevailent, nor widely accepted as the party's stance. Either way the
ELITE in both groups don't give a shit about small folks, and that's a
fact... sad as it may be.
The problem is that for all the years of the Dems running the
country and not doing much of a great job; the Big & Little Reps were
SCREAMING from the halls and hills about how if THEY had their way,
we'd have much smaller govt, more pro-SMALL business legislation and
the country would be led out of this quagmire that it is now. Well when
the Reps FINALLY got all there wishes to come true - WHAT do/did they
do with it? End up making the Dems look like angels in comparison. Or
course the #1 retort to this is the WAR... but WHO led us into the war?
WHO touted false knowledge and info as near FACTs... or better yet
pushed a HUGE sense of urgency about a potential "mushroom cloud" being
the final consequence of taking a more diplomatic approach to Saddam...
wait Saddam had NOTHING to do with Al Qaeda, yet some how his name was
lumped into the mix and out came a HUGE YELLOW CAKE with bitter icing
on it once we sank our teeth into it! I blame the president, yes; I
blame the flawed intelligence agencies and anyone else that had even
the smallest neglectful/deceptive influence toward GWB making that
awful choice. But, what's done is DONE and now we can only (and should)
come TOGETHER to solve the mess we're in. By denying any wrong doing or
denying that anything is even awry at all only hurts this nation and
costs us MORE lives of innocent troops.
Again, I'm NOT a Dem, nor advocating they are the BEST party.
What I am advocating is that people like yourself, pull the wool from
your eyes and ears and open your MOUTH about this HUGE problem WE now
face as a nation and whole and start speaking up for what we now know
was a very hastily and INCORRECT decision about this war. While
soldiers are (some my family members) facing DEATH and potential
amputation of mangled limbs and even worse, mental scars for LIFE...
The people of THIS country don't have adequate health care, shelter,
EDUCATION: which brings about a BETTER generation of youths who can
hopefully lead this country back to being respected and much more
concerned about ITS citizens... *getting off pulpit*
